Re: 'Veto talk on housing bill is premature' (May 15)
Dear Editor:
If people are already behind in payments by 90 days on loans before they adjust up, what makes the lender think that they will keep up with their fixed payments? I do not want to bail out people with my tax dollars who are just going to stop making those payments also. We are still going to take back their home anyway. Not everyone in this country can be responsible to pay a loan back, and as soon as we can figure that out, we might be better off. In my opinion, most of these foreclosures are fraudulent for many reasons.

Re: 'Regulators ready to cut Freddie Mac more slack' (May 15)
Dear Editor:
Get the government out of the lending business before history repeats itself. The right hand usually does not know what the left hand is doing. It is too big and inefficient and they use the appraiser as the scapegoat.
