Where did all the looky-loos go?

Re: 'Home buying's all about compromise in today's market' (July 23)

Dear Editor:

Zillions of sellers everywhere sitting on their porches gazing longingly into the blank national landscape would kill to see a carload of looky-loos even slowing down as they fly by in their SUVs.

The glut of unsold homes gets gluttier by the day.

Foreclosures and tears are flowing where yesterday champagne and multiple offers spurted out of every nook and cranny.

Armies of formerly order-taking agents are greeting lines of former-but-now-in-foreclosure clients at Wal-Mart.

This lady finds two markets that together constitute less than one hundred thousandth of one percent of reality and decides to write an article about THAT.

It's like walking the devastation and death behind a still-raging wild fire, running into a live red ant and writing an article about how to protect yourself from red ant bites.

Why would Inman publish such a thing? An inside joke? Are you guys PAYING for it?
