Richard, It was really refreshing for me to see an US agent touting the accomplishments of my partners Adam and Chintan of Nubricks.com. Indeed the UK market is great opportunity for American realtors and I can tell you that I for one believe that Florida is just the beginning for European investors looking for investments stateside against a weak dollar. I wasn't too crazy about the government bailing out lenders or borrowers that were "taken advantage of" (read : weren't responsible and bought more than they could afford). I felt that the lenders made stupid business decisions, were burned, and are just going to have to pay the price for it. But now I'm feeling that in fact the government does need to bail out these lenders to avoid a total, great depression like, meltdown of the economy.
I spent way too much time in Cafe Du Nord in the time I was living in SF. Didn't help that it was walking distance from my flat. I do wish I could come meet up with the bloggers tonight. Maybe next year.
