I've been licensed for 20 years, can remember when we just had a 1 page purchase & sale agreement, when no one ever had a home inspection (it really was Buyer beware), when the 1st agent years ago in Bellingham started to advertize that he represented Buyers (Buyer Agency? what kind of an idiot would do that), can remember when our office got it's 1st fax machine (man were we styling), can remember when we all had CB radios in our cars (we sounded like the Walton Family on TV), can remember when I got my 1st cell phone which was a portable(you are thinking flip phone - not hardly this thing weighed about 5 pounds with the battery pack ( I had a radio in the Marine Corps that weighed less). Anyway, those times were great but the change has been for the better agents / buyers / sellers - everyone. Our industry is coming of age - I wonder what it will be like in another 20 years.

On a side note, if you'd like to exchange marketing ideas, I'd love to network with you. We have done some interesting things with a moving truck, an IVR system, our Blog, property flyers, our virtual tour system & etc - give me a shout. I'd love to share some ideas with you.

    I began my real estate career in the 80's. At that time our office, which was the largest real estate office in Whatcom County, had no fax machine, no computers & no form of mobile radio communication other than a central CB radio system. It's amazing how far our industry has come in 20+ years. My compliments to you at Inman for leading the way.     My wife, Lylene, just has had foot surgery so I won't be able to attend. There is no substitute for the real thing but what you are providing here is a wonderful alternative. I had a front row seat the first time Brad Inman introduced Craig Newmark as a panel member with the CEO "Suits" of the franchises. It was a moment not to have missed. No amount ot "Tweeting, Blogging or Facebooking" could have replicated that event. I'll see you next year.
