I am a Mortgage Broker licensed in Idaho and Washington. We have offices located in Coeur d'Alene and Spokane. I started in the mortgage industry in late-1997. My background varies as a loan underwriter, loan processor, operations manager, and loan originator. I have worked for mortgage lenders, banks, and mortgage brokers. In 2004, my husband and I decided it was time to leave corporate America and go out on our own. And, though I joke that I went "kicking and screaming" into the world of the self-employed, I will be the first to admit that it has been a wonderful experience: knowing that I am giving my customers the exact service and attention they deserve - without having to shuffle through corporate red tape to do it. Hi Richard, it has been some time since you posted your request for feedback on your websites, but if you're anything like me, you're still working to make it "perfect" and are open to feedback. Like Sandra Gibson, I found your Dallas one to be more professional appearing and helpful when locating a home. But there are aspects to both your sites that I liked. I liked that your San Antonio site had "Fun Stuff" info (I couldn't find it on your Dallas site, if it's there). One thing I noticed, your blog posts are almost entirely from Grace in your office. She set herself apart from the rest of the agents in your office. If I were going to be buying or selling in your area, I would go with her. Hope this helps... I am a mortgage broker and am hoping on some feedback on my website from Agents, as well as other mortgage brokers outside my area who have found their website to be successful. I am hoping not only to make my website a critical part of my marketing plan, but also seen as a leader for helpful information on the lending process. If anyone would look at it, I would appreciate it. www.kmgmortgagegroup.com Thanks... Maryellen Garasky Co-Owner - President - Managing Broker KMG Mortgage Group www.kmgmortgagegroup.com

When this bill passed, our offices were FLOODED with questions from potential clients seeking advice. As with almost everything else passed by the Federal Government, its interpretation, and how it will affect people in the real world, are yet to be seen. We have not been able to find CONSISTANT information from one source to another. What one person says will work, is what another person says will back-fire. Regardless, however, what this Act hopes to do in the long run will only pale into comparison to what RESPONSIBLE buying/lending would have done in the first place! Our market has been labled a "Declining Market" and has made lending to good borrowers nearly impossible. And, it's all thanks to (what once was) irresponsible underwriting, selfish Loan Officers (before you get all worked up, know that I AM a Loan Officer), and plain-and-simple, pure consumer and Real Estate Agent greed. I cannot tell you, when our "boom" was happening, how many loans I actually TURNED DOWN because they wanted to flip the property or get a "payoption" loan - AKA (in my book): "make the equity in your house disappear and become no better than the equity in your automobile" loan. I am like the rest of you who have posted here, I truely hope this helps. I really do. But, I'm being cautiously optimistic.
