IDX Solutions?
Posted in Real Estate Marketing 2.0 By Lori Turoff, Thursday, March 20, 2008.Can anyone suggest a good idx solution for an agent website? I'm wondering about two distinct things:
1. Should it be map-based search or a pull-down menu search form, or both, or something else entirely?
2. Who are providers with whom other realtors have been happy?
We've just, finally, been granted the ability to use IDX by our board and I'd love to set it up once, correctly from the start. We can frame, we can FTP, we may be able to get access to the RETS feed but it's not entirely clear yet.
Any advice would be most appreciated.

We moved one of our sites to Diverse Solutions and really like the features. Lots of cool consumer stuff, the right amount of stickiness and a solid company to work with.

Kevin - I took a look at your site and it says it's powered by Arran Technologies. Is this the right site? It doesn't refer to Diverse as the supplier but another company. It takes quite a few clicks to get to the actual search, which then is menu driven and not map based. I'm not sure that's what consumers want. If there is a different site to look at, please let me know.
There are many suppliers I found on the web but I was hoping for some feedback from realtors on what they've used and liked.

We moved all of our in house stuff to a vendor called Ashton Data based out of Washington State.
I did a lot of research before entering into a deal with them. They provided the best resources at the best cost and were very easy to work with.

The Owner of the Company is Lonnie Lamprecht, just let him know who referred you, just because I have not talked with him in some time.
I will tell you this, Lonnie is more knowledgeable about MLS's in just about every State and knows the rules and the key people who make them. So he is a great guy to talk to no matter who you end up going with.

We've been using 1parkplace which also serves as a lead capture option - extremely happy with it and working much better than just having the MLS easily accessible.
